Entry in to SMOT
Exactly one year back I was so frustrated with the way things were going and since I planned to write CAT exams during nov/dec 2007 and join a reputed BSchool during the next year. The problem was that for that to happen I need to sit back home and prepare for entrance rigorously for one year which was a problem for me since I will lose one precious year and the time value of money comes in to play here. So I decided let me join a BSchool this year itself. But it was too late when I decided on that. So I was completely upset and worried. That was the time when I saw SMOT advertisement in the front page of the newspaper “The Hindu”. I visited SMOT website and I was first pleased after seeing the academic council members. Later on, when I saw in the website that smot has tie up with St.Marry’s University, Canada and CAMC, Canada and people from all across the globe are going to visit the campus I was fully delighted , I almost made my mind that I should join only in this BSchool. When I met the dean Mr.Muthu Singaram and Professor Mr.Narendra I was totally convinced and applied (though I was finger crossed whether I will be selected or not). Interview process was a great learning experience (conducted by Interview specialist Mr.Narendra, Mr.Arjun Chakravarthi among others). That was the time I met one the academic council member, marketing legend, and one of the most intelligent person I have ever met in my life, Mr.arjun chakravarthi... I was happy that I got selected and the story is still on!!!! ;)
