‘On the field’ My 1st job – expectations unlimited!!!

Started my first day in the morn preparing a advertisement concept (to advertise our products) for the next edition of a well reckoned business magazine… “wow my boss is really great… has given me a great chance the very first day, let me prove my capabilities in my first assignment itself”, did some research to find out the buying behavior of our customers and prospects the next day, the days passed by and I was getting better and smarter…finally was about to end my first week 'on the field' with a high funda online product training session conducted by the international product manager of my company... By then I could hear some phone ringing, “boss?? Yes my boss is calling me to his cabin to discuss the marketing strategy I had devised the previous day, wow I am lucky to work with such a boss”, I flashed out to lift the call.. Oh my god, only then I could realize that it was rather the alarm clock and it was my servant maid who brought that close to my ear since she wanted to change the pillow cover. Only then I could realize that everything was a dream... got up vexed up but still like any other management enthu, I was so confident that my job will be really interesting... Its 5 months since then but still I'm enjoying my job only in the dream.... don't know whether to call it as a bad ending or sad beginning... :-(
